Physiotherapy support, wherever you and your animal are

Video-based assessment, treatment planning and follow-up for owners outside the travel area, or anyone who wants expert input between in-person visits. Same clinical rigour, no travel radius.

Who online physiotherapy is for

It is not a lesser version of an in-person visit. It is the right tool for a specific set of situations, and these are the ones we see most often.

Outside the travel area

Beyond our in-person radius but still want an MSc-qualified physiotherapist's eyes on your animal's movement.

International owners

Based overseas or relocating with your animal. Video review works anywhere with a stable connection.

Between in-person visits

Already working with us, or another physio, and need a progress check without waiting for the next visit.

A second opinion

Something doesn't sit right about a diagnosis or a plan, and you want an independent, evidence-based view before deciding.

The Process

How an online consultation works

  1. 01

    Film using our guide

We send a short filming guide before your session covering walk, trot and a few simple movement checks, using just a phone or tablet. Footage uploads straight in through your Equigate client portal.

  2. 02

    Frame-by-frame review

Megan reviews the footage in detail before your call, identifying patterns you might not see at normal speed.

  3. 03

    Live video call

We talk through the findings together, answer your questions, and agree what happens next.

  4. 04

    Written programme & check-ins

A written plan with demonstration clips lands in your Equigate portal, alongside a shared message thread for check-ins as your animal progresses.

Your Client Portal

Everything in one place, through Equigate

All online and in-person clients get a free account on Equigate, the client portal we use to run the practice: no separate logins, no email attachments going missing.

Message Megan directly

Send videos, photos and voice notes in one thread, without chasing attachments over email.

Your treatment history, in one place

Every report, exercise plan and note from your sessions, stored against your animal’s own profile.

Book and manage appointments

See upcoming sessions, get reminders, and request a booking without picking up the phone.

Share with your vet

Export or forward reports straight from the portal when your vet needs an update.

Before Your Session

What you'll need to film

Nothing specialist. Most owners use what's already in their pocket.

  • A phone or tablet that can film video
  • A flat, non-slip area roughly 10–15 metres long
  • Someone to lead or walk alongside your animal
  • Good daylight or bright, even lighting

Common Questions

Before you book

If your question is not here, call and ask. It is usually faster than filling in a form.

It covers everything except hands-on palpation. For many conditions, such as gait asymmetry, straightness or return-to-work progress, video analysis is genuinely diagnostic. Where hands-on assessment is essential, we will say so plainly and suggest an in-person visit if you are within reach, or guidance for a local physiotherapist if you are not.
