This notice explains what personal data MC Veterinary Physiotherapy ("we", "us") collects when you use this website or our services, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to owners, referring practices and website visitors alike.
What we collect
We collect information you give us directly, including:
- Your name, email address, phone number and postal address
- Details about your animal and the condition you are contacting us about
- Your veterinary practice's details, where provided for a referral
- Payment information, processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store card details ourselves
- Messages, photos and videos shared through our client portal (Equigate) for treatment purposes
How we use it
- To respond to enquiries and provide physiotherapy treatment
- To request veterinary consent on your behalf, as required by law
- To maintain clinical records and communicate with your veterinary practice
- To process bookings and payments
Legal basis for processing
We process your data on the basis of contract (to provide the treatment you have booked) and legal obligation (veterinary consent requirements).
Who we share it with
We share relevant clinical information with your veterinary practice as part of the referral and reporting process. We use third-party providers for appointment and client record management (Equigate), payment processing, and website hosting. Each of these providers is contractually required to protect your data, and we do not sell your personal data to any third party.
How long we keep it
Clinical records are retained in line with professional guidance for veterinary physiotherapy practice, typically a minimum of seven years. Enquiry details that do not proceed to treatment are retained for no longer than is necessary to respond to your enquiry.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
